There are few singers more legendary than Dolly Parton. For more than six decades Dolly has brought us amazing music that tugs at our hearts and crosses genres from country to pop to Christian. She has acted in many movies. She was named a “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress and she’s been inducted into the “Country Music Hall of Fame”. She has a stack of Grammy Awards. She has a theme park called Dollywood in her native Tennessee. On top of that she does extensive charity work including raising and giving over $8 million to the victims of the Gatlinburg fire in Tennessee back in 2016. She also started “Dolly’s Imagination Library” which provides free books for children from birth to age five to encourage a love of reading.
Her latest song is a collaboration with Christian music artist Zach Williams for a very popular song called “There Was Jesus” which you can hear on WGTS 91.9. Check out the official video here:
Recently Zach Williams and Dolly Parton chatted with Jerry and Blanca from the morning show about how they came to work together and what the song means to them.
