Operation: Fill the Pantry

Recently, we've been pondering something: What if no child or family in our area had to face hunger all year long? Would it be possible to eliminate hunger?

Recent statistics show that 1 in 10 residents in our area is at risk of or experiencing hunger, with a third being children. What if you could help keep local food banks and pantries stocked?

Each Friday, you'll find us at a local Walmart collecting some of the most needed items pantries have told us they need on a regular basis. Here are some of the upcoming Fill The Pantry Sticker Stops:

What should I bring?

Here are some of the most needed items pantries have told us they need on a regular basis:

  • canned meats (turkey, chicken, tuna, and beef)
  • peanut butter
  • stew and chili (canned)
  • canned pasta (like Chef Boyardee)
  • cereal
  • fruit (canned in 100% fruit juice)
  • macaroni and cheese
  • beans (dried and canned)
  • pasta and pasta sauce (no glass please)
  • rice (1 lb bag)
  • 100% fruit juice
  • vegetable oil
