No one should have to skip a meal because they can't afford to put food on their plate. And during the COVID-19 pandemic, more families have been put under enormous pressure due to loss of jobs and schools not being in session. Maybe you've wanted to help, but didn't know how to--safely.
When we originally kicked off Operation: Fill the Pantry back in February, thanks to folks like you, over 12,000 pounds of food was collected for local food pantries! And that's why we're excited to pick back up with a safer, socially-distant option.
WGTS is honored to partner with McLean Bible Church in Tysons Corner each Friday starting July 31 as we collect some of the most needed items pantries have said they need on a regular basis. The food will be distributed to pantries all over the DMV through the Capital Area Food Bank. Click the link below to learn more about the food drop-off process:
