Health Minute: Summer Skin Safety Series Part 3

By: Claude

Dr. Avni Jain, Adventist HealthCare family medicine physician, shares more tips about summer skin safety. Other ways to help your skin this summer is by drinking plenty of water, don’t smoke, eat a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables, get regular sleep - at least 7 – 8 hours, limit very hot showers as this can strip your skin of healthy oils, use gentle soaps and moisturizers, get regular skin checks. Look for any changes to moles, freckles or birthmarks or any new skin changes and see your doctor or a dermatologist at least once a year for this important health screening.
