Getting a tour of the White House now-a-days is tough. You must contact your congressman well in advance to request tickets. However, did you know you can tour the White House Gardens without an appointment. The White House Fall Garden Tours are going on right now. And while you don’t get to tour the inside of the White House you can get a close-up view of the Rose Garden, Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, and Kitchen Garden as well as ornamental trees that were planted by former presidents. The National Park Service gives out tickets on Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 a.m. The tickets are free, and they’re distributed on a first-come, first-served bases. The tickets times range from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
