If you missed celebrating the New Year and making resolutions, you have another chance. This Sunday begins the Chinese New Year, and DC knows how to celebrate in style. The annual D.C. Chinese New Year's Parade starts at 6th and Eye Streets in Northwest and makes it's way down 6th St. to Gallery Place. There are floats, bands, traditional dragons and a stage featuring performances and music at the end of the parade route. The event is free, but there are plenty of yummy traditional Chinese dishes you can purchase. The parade starts at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday is supposed to be sunny and in the upper-40s, so the weather should be good. More information on the parade is available here.
