Because it's beach day on WGTS 91.9, we're celebrating all things beach related.   I had to stretch on this one, and the event is actually on Wednesday, January 26th.  I have to admit I know very little about this band, but their name relates to the ocean, so they're my weekend pick.  Inner Wave is coming to the Union Stage this evening at 8:00 p.m.  The Washington post describes them as a "five-piece band [that] makes soft synth, indie rock that loosens the muscles, enlivens a dull day and makes a walk down the street more of a strut."  It's at 8:00 tonight and tickets are $19-$36.

Gianandrea Noseda pairs Beethoven’s Fourth with the Fourth Symphony by William Grant Still—the first Black composer to have a symphony performed by a leading orchestra (Rochester Philharmonic) and to conduct a major American symphony orchestra (Los Angeles Philharmonic). Click here to learn more.
