NSO’s Music for Young Audiences is presenting Beauty and the Beat.  Violinist Marissa Regni and percussionist Scott Christian are performing a show geared toward kids at the Family Theater.  And the length is about right to – it only runs about 45 minutes.  The program shows how melodic and rhythmic instruments can blend together.  If you come an hour early, there are hands-on activities where children can see and touch the instruments they’ll see later onstage.  This happens Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Tickets are $20.00.
