The new movie “Jesus Revolution” hits theaters today.  It follows the story of Greg Laurie and a group of hippies in 1970s, and how they started the Jesus movement.  It stars Jonathan Roumie from The Chosen and Kelsey Grammar from “Frasier.”   I had a chance to catch a sneak preview of this movie and the actors do a fantastic job bringing this historical time in Christianity to life.  I think the whole family will enjoy it.  And if you’re a fan of contemporary Christian music this is really a big part of how it all started.

Here's the synopsis of the movie from Google:  “In the 1970s, Greg Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets a charismatic street preacher and a pastor who open the doors to a church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds is a counterculture movement that becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history.”

Jesus Revolution opens in theaters everywhere today. You can watch the trailer here.

As a kid, and even as an adult honestly, I'd obsessed with Dinosaurs. At some point I'm going to make my way to the Rhode Island Center to catch Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience. It's an exhibition where you get to walk alongside 80 life sized replicas of dinosaurs in an immersive Jurassic venue. More information and tickets available here.

It feels like we’ve been talking about it forever, but it’s finally here.  TobyMac comes home to Fairfax tonight and Saturday night and 7:00 p.m.  He’s bringing some incredible artists along with him like Crowder, Tasha Layton, Cochren and Company, and Terrian.  We’ve been able to open a few more seats.  Now these seats are to the side of the stage, but don’t be fooled they are actually very close to the stage.  In fact, this is where I sit during most concerts.  Hope to see you at one of these shows.  Get your tickets here.
