People never believe me when I say that my family was at church every time the doors were open but it was true. I didn't even realize that it was an option to stay home until much later in my life. I remember being a very small child of about 3 or 4 growing up in Texas and sitting next to my grandfather in service holding his big man hand. His big booming voice would sing Holy, Holy, Holy each week and I knew without a doubt that Jesus loved me. As life has gone on I have relied on those memories to carry me through and to help me tell others about Jesus.
One of my greatest joys is sitting next to my husband in church and being grateful for his heart to serve others. We recently traveled to Bangladesh on a mission trip and he was right there supporting me.
Working with my husband is pure joy and I have to give him kudos because he took over the house and caring for our little dog, Ringo, while I went back to school recently. I received my Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in December 2016. That is on top of my psychology degree and my Master's of Liberal Arts so he went above and beyond to support me and to keep the home running. If I could be a professional student, it would be a no brainer for me!
I pray when you hear us in the afternoon that you hear more of Him and less of us. Everything that we are and everything that we will ever be is from Him.
