Courage for kids going back to school

All the 'unknowns' that come with a new school year can cause anxiety for parents and students alike. My kids just went back this week, and even though my boys are already in 8th and 10th grades (wow, where does the time go?!), I still find myself in need of a good dose of courage just as much or more than they do at the start of a new year. So I asked Stacey Stone of 'Afternoons with Johnny & Stacey' to put on her counselor hat for a bit (she has a Masters in professional counseling) to help talk us through this.
She shared some great thoughts on how to avoid over-focusing on what others think of us, making school a 'no fear zone', and taking advantage of the 'clean slate' a new year provides.
I know this mom is breathing a lot easier and feeling ready to empower my kids to be confident as they start the new year. I hope this will encourage you and your family too! Check out the whole interview below.
