Morning Show Weekend Picks
Jerry: I love a good local art show, and this weekend's is a really good one. Art on the Avenue Happens every year on the first Saturday in October. Thousands of people come to the Del Ray community to see and buy works from over 300 artists. They include potters, woodworkers, painters, photographers, sculptors, silversmiths and a bunch more. Of course they'll also be plenty of yummy treats available from food vendors. Four stages will provide the free soundtrack for the day that runs from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. It all stretches down Mt. Vernon Avenue in Del Ray, Alexandria, between Bellefonte and Hume Avenues. Find out more here. The event will happen rain or shine.

Claude: Fall is my favorite time of year and since the weather will finally feel like fall this weekend, it will be a great opportunity to go to a pumpkin patch. Montpelier Farms Family Farm Park has a great fall festival with animals, hayrides, corn maze, games and of course... a pumpkin patch. Learn more here.
