Socktober

Walking a mile in someone's shoes takes on a much different meaning when that someone is homeless. Socks are the most requested - and least donated - item in homeless shelters. And access to something as basic as a clean, dry pair of socks can help save lives during the winter months.

That's why we're making October - SOCKTOBER! All month long we'll be in locations all over the DMV collecting socks that will be donated throughout the region with Central Union Mission of DC and the Salvation Army to be given to men, women, and children in need. Check below for our Sticker Stop locations this month where you can drop off socks.

Stop by and say "hi" and grab some WGTS goodies while you're there.

FAQS

What is Socktober?

Why?

Having access to something as basic as a clean, dry pair of socks can help save lives during the winter months.

How can I help?

Great question! Simply purchase a pair of new socks at any store and drop them in the boxes at our sticker stop locations.
