For loving God and for loving people, Pearly H. Ramlal Lopez is a WGTS 91.9 Hometown Hero! 

Every week Mrs. Pearly helps to feed close to 300 families in the DMV.  “No questions asked,” she says.  “If you eat, you can come and get food.” And, if you are sick or elderly, she will find a way to get it delivered to your home. 

For many years Mrs. Pearly and her husband Roberto have been serving the community from their own home in Hyattsville, MD.  Before COVID, they typically would serve about 150 families, now the number could go as high as 300 families.  Pick up times are every Saturday between 2 and 4pm. 

If you are interested in a box of a variety of foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables (varies weekly) for your family, you can call 240-491-6725 and ask for Karen.  Or call 301-844-8747 and ask for Roberto. Karen and Roberto both speak Spanish.
